      A NEW APPROACH IN LIVE CELL IMAGING

      A tremendous need to reproduce to best portrait of in vivo condition is worldwide recognized.

      Through microfluidic isolation process, it is possible to study biological phenomena at single cell level, thus investigating how cell heterogeneity can affect biological process outcomes.

      CELLviewer platform extends the capabilities of a typical inverted microscope for live cell imaging, adding the potential to culture and finely analyze spheroids 3D biological models, automatically.

      IMAGING SETUP

      LOW SAMPLE PHOTODAMAGE
      LED-based illumination and agile mechanical swithces.
      LED stroboscopic light source consistently reduces sample photodamage. High speed acquisition is achieved through motorized mechanical slide moving excitation filters and with multiband beamsplitter and emission filter that reduce the number of mechanical switches required. A mechanical revolver allows to quickly replace 20X with 40X magnification objective.
      FLUIDIC ADAPTIVE FOCUSING
      A new principle for long-term tracking and imaging of cells suspension at single unit level.
      During prolonged time-lapse acquisitons, cell suspensions float in culture medium and drift from focus position. CELLviewer hybrid tehnology keeps the sample focused in the middle of analysis chamber for all experiment time only through microfluidics. No physical support is required and non adherent culture condition is mantained.
      2 OPTICS WORKING TOGETHER.
      2.5X – 20X – 40X MAGNIFICATIONS.
      Two optics, vertical and horizontal working together to acquire all 3D spatial sample informations. High resolution imaging is performed on horizontal fluorescence setup with 20x or 40x magnification objectives that can be quickly changed with a mechanical revolver. These features add the potentiality to study and analyze the sample at different custom levels of resolution and detail.
      LOW SAMPLE PHOTODAMAGE
      5 separated channels with reduced spectral crosstalk.
      Fluorescence filter penta-band set is designed for imaging of a sample simultaneously labeled with DAPI, FITC, TRITC, Cy5, and Cy7 (or other key fluorophores – see Tech note below). Single band excitation filters for 5 physically separated channels decrease fluorescence crosstalk.
      INNOVATIVE 3D IMAGING
      360° degree sample rotation microfluidics only managed
      CELLviewer provides a complementary approach to confocal microscopy. Physical 3D imaging with sample Z-axis autorotation is managed by microfluidics and allows to create 360° degree scan the whole sample surface with reduced scanning time.
      HIGH SPEED ACQUISITON, TOP QUALITY
      Up to 30 frames/s in full resolution.
      Camera has a quantum efficiency of 82% and a resolution of 4.0 megapixels. A cooling element built-in enables the acquisition of high quality images for longer exposure. Maxium frame rate up to 25.655 frames/s
