Mitochondria are deeply involved both in cell life and death mechanisms. This Application Note shows CELLviewer time-lapse imaging and analysis of live single cells, labeled with MitoGreen (Promokine, Promocell), a green fluorescent dye that selectively stains mitochondria.

The 3D multicellular spheroids offer an exciting model to investigate in vivo-like functionality where cells are grown in physiologically relevant conditions compared to monolayer 2D cell culture.
