Although cells are the basic unit of biology, most methods for studying normal physiology and disease do not have resolution at the cellular level.

Rare cell types and functions may be missed, dynamic events are difficult to detect, and variability between cells hard to measure or overlooked altogether.

      Investigating cancer heterogeneity at single cell level paves the way to tairored drug therapy

      END-TO-END METHOD FOR SINGLE CELLS CULTURE AND ANALYSIS

      CELLviewer isolates pure viable cells and perform live imaging at single-cell level.
      Users can investigate morphological, phenotypic heterogeneity among different cell clones as well as evaluate drug cell-by-cell response

      1. Cells seeding.

      Cells are plated in a 96 multiwell plate in order to let them grow.

      2. Cell culture

      Measure cell concentration with a microscope or a cell counter. Homogeneous sample suspension is transferred in a 50 mL Falcon tube closed with a CELLviewer DOCK cap and loaded in CELLviewer.

      3. Sample loading

      Cells are withdrawn by microfluidics and collected in the microfluidic cartridge where a single cell is isolated in the analysis chamber.

      4. Drug dispensing

      Through automated liquid handling, drug solutions are dispensed to the sample in the analysis chamber to test compound efficacy and biological response

      5. Analysis

      Sample is kept in focus through Fluidic Adaptive Focusing and imaged in Bright-field and fluorescence channels. Images can be visualized in real time and acquisition parameters can be edited during the experiment.

      6. Data Handling

      Experiment data (images, videos, graphs, plots, etc.) can be real-time analyzed, saved on internal hard disk or external storage, exported and shared with cloud computing.
